Linux Mint 5 Elyssa released!

Linux Mint logo
In my opinion Linux Mint smells much better than Ubuntu. I had on my PC for a few months Linux Mint 3, and I liked it. But I switched to Arch Linux. This release made me think again at Linux Mint. I’m downloading it right now. I will wait to check ‘er out (and, of course, I will post my impressions).

Here is the official anounce, from the Linux Mint Blog:

It is with great pleasure that I officially announce the release of Linux Mint 5 Elyssa. more…

Hi there! I like your blog, it’s really useful! I’ll keep my rss aware of it :D
I can’t wait to download Linuxmint, I enjoyed the last version so much, but it hurts a bit since I’ve got now Ubuntu 8.04 totally configured my way, with all the stuff I need, etc… I think there’s no way to save that after switching the distro… so I’ll wait a bit.

    Hello Sai!

I’m glad to here that you like my blog. I do my best to write useful stuff here.
One thing that will sure help you is to move the Ubuntu’s home folder in a separate partition. You’re not saving all the configurations this way but it’s more than nothing.
